A more thoughtful, integrative approach to animal health.

A calm, low-stress environment where both pets and their owners feel supported at every stage of life.

Our Philosophy

Modern veterinary medicine, with the depth and tradition of natural therapies.

At Gippsland Natural Veterinary, we offer a personalised refined, mobile veterinary service for pet owners seeking a more thoughtful, integrative approach to animal health. By delivering care in the comfort of your home, we create a calm, low-stress environment where both pets and their owners feel supported at every stage of life.

Our philosophy brings together modern veterinary medicine with the depth and tradition of natural therapies, including acupuncture, Bowen therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine. This integrative approach allows us to move beyond symptom management alone, focusing instead on restoring balance, supporting the body’s natural healing processes, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Veterinary acupuncture, grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine, involves the precise placement of fine needles to stimulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and modulate pain pathways. It is particularly effective in managing chronic pain, neurological conditions, and mobility issues - offering meaningful relief for pets suffering from arthritis and age-related decline.

Moxibustion, a gentle warming therapy, during a home visit

Chinese herbal medicine complements this by using carefully formulated plant-based remedies to address internal imbalances. Rather than targeting a single symptom, these formulations are tailored to the individual animal, supporting organ function, immune health, and systemic resilience.

For many families, there comes a time when conventional treatment options may become limited, particularly in cases such as chronic arthritis, degenerative conditions, or advanced cancers. Our role is to provide an additional layer of support - offering gentle, evidence-informed alternatives that can improve comfort, maintain dignity, and extend quality of life when cure is no longer the goal.

Alongside these therapies, we provide a full suite of veterinary services, including comprehensive consultations, vaccinations, microchipping, and compassionate in-home euthanasia. We place particular emphasis on life-stage care, from detailed puppy and kitten assessments through to dedicated, supportive care for senior pets.

We regularly assist with a wide range of conditions, including gastrointestinal disorders, skin concerns, allergies, and musculoskeletal disease, as well as more complex or chronic presentations.

At Gippsland Natural Veterinary, our commitment is to unhurried, deeply considered care - supporting not only the health of your pet, but also the confidence and peace of mind of those who love them.

Jacqui is a one in a million vet.

Jacqui is a one in a million vet. Her gentleness, care, compassion and extensive knowledge is next level and you know your animals are being treated by the best. Jacqui takes her time and nothing is ever a bother for her. My dogs adore her, and animals never lie - they know when someone is genuine and kind. I highly recommend Jacqui to care for your pets at home. You don’t just have a vet to care for them, you get a friend for life.

This amazing ray of sunshine and calm energy walked through our door.

Our beautiful greyhound Amber had a sudden back and hip injury at home on a Sunday lunchtime and all vets were closed. She couldn’t be moved and was screaming with pain. I’d called an emergency online vet which proved a bit useless and I was starting to stress. I had never used a mobile vet service before but suddenly remembered a friend had recommended Jacqui. I gave her a call and she was wonderful - she asked me to FaceTime, did a quick but thorough check while reassuring me she was on her way. Just under an hour later this amazing ray of sunshine and calm energy walked through our door and immediately took control. She stayed two hours settling Amber with pain relief and gentle examination. Amber had medications, acupuncture and Bowen treatment and was running around again after a week of rest. We can’t recommend Jacqui highly enough.

The change in her behaviour is dramatic.

My 18-year-old cat Treacle struggles with an overactive thyroid - it makes her irritable & overreactive to everything. At this grand old age her liver & kidneys are also stressed. Jacqui has been giving Treacle monthly acupuncture which destresses her major organs & releases toxins. The change in her behaviour is dramatic & it’s a joy for both of us to have her relaxed, feeding well & happy. Bless you Jacqui.

Dr Jacqui was a calm voice in the middle of pet chaos.

I had the pleasure of having Dr Jacqui look after both of my furbabies. From the convenience of having her come to my small business for any of my vet needs, Dr Jacqui was a calm voice in the middle of pet chaos - especially when my older girl got cancer. She calmly explained what all the medical jargon meant and how we could manage all treatments, from Chinese medicine and acupuncture to recommending clinics when surgical options were needed, and pain management to keep my girl comfortable. When the devastating day came to say goodbye, Dr Jacqui came to her, where she felt safe and comfortable, and allowed her to pass over the rainbow bridge in her own bed, with her favourite people holding her tight. Thank you for giving my girls dignity, care, and love - they loved you right back.

You truly are an animal whisperer.

We had a staffy that was starting to get on and experienced some health challenges that seemed to come out of the blue. It was such an overwhelm to take my girl into the vet as she would shake, drool, bark and just seemed to hate every moment, so having a vet come to our home seemed like a great idea. Dr Jacqui was so lovely and very attentive to our old girl. The last years of our girl had her walking when she could not, drug-free until the last months, and moving around like a happy healthy dog should. If we told her Dr Jacqui was coming, she would jump up, go to the door and start whining! We will forever be grateful for the beautiful sendoff that Dr Jacqui facilitated for our girl when it was time to cross the rainbow bridge. You truly are an animal whisperer.

It’s like having a friend come over.

Well Evie just loves your visits - it’s like having a friend come over! Considering how much she was not a fan of vets, she really seems to love the acupuncture (and the attention) when you visit us. It’s made a huge difference.
